A special one-time screening of “Rockshow” — a concert film starring Paul McCartney and Wings on their 1975-76 “Wings Over the World” tour — will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday at Harkins Bricktown Cinema 16, 150 E Reno Ave.
SpectiCast, in association with Eagle Rock Entertainment, is premiering the film in theaters in the U.K. on Wednesday and worldwide on Thursday.
Although filmed on the tour in 1976 at the enormous Kingdome in Seattle, “Rockshow,” originally a cutdown version of the concert, was not premiered until November 1980 in New York and April 1981 in London.…
NEWCASTLE – On Thursday night, country singer Gretchen Wilson will kick off the the third annual Outdoor Concert Series at Newcastle Casino, I-44 and Highway 62.
Newcastle Casino’s Outdoor Concert Series is open to the public, takes place in the casino’s north parking lot and admission is free.
Ryan Sykes, Newcastle Casino’s general manager, said the festival is a chance to give back to the community and its employees.

Pistol Annies, the country music trio comprised of Tishomingo resident Miranda Lambert and singer-songwriter pals Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe, performed the television debut of their song “Unhappily Married,” Tuesday night on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.”
“Unhappily Married” is a darkly funny track off the group’s second album, “Annie Up.”

Tulsa/Norman punk band Broncho will play Seattle’s Bumbershoot festival set for Aug. 31-Sept. 2. The lineup also includes Heart, Death Cab for Cutie, fun., Kendrick Lamar, The Joy Formidable, Eric Burdon & The Animals, MGMT, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience, The Breeders and more.

Music pioneers the Red Dirt Rangers were honored at the House of Representatives at the Oklahoma State Capitol building Monday afternoon with an official proclamation, led by Rep. Lee Denney of Cushing.
Bearden singer-songwriter John Fullbright recently performed three songs live in Malibu, Calif., for the “Jam in the Van” series. His new song “When You’re Here” was among the songs he played for what JamintheVan.com called “one of the prettiest sessions we’ve ever shot.”
The Oklahoma musician performed two other songs, “Fat Man” and “Satan and St. Paul,” both from his Grammy-nominated 2012 album “From the Ground Up.”

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter John Fullbright, who hails from Bearden, recently released the official music video to “Gawd Above,” from his 2012 album “From the Ground Up.” Ovvio Arte directed the black-and-white video.
Fullbright will return this weekend to what he refers to as “Point A” of his burgeoning music career – the Blue Door.
He is playing sold-out shows at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of the fabled listening room’s 20th anniversary celebration.
