Reduxion Theatre to donate proceeds from Thursday’s performance of “Tom Jones” to tornado relief

In response to the devastation this week’s tornadoes have created in central Oklahoma, Reduxion Theatre Company is donating 100 percent of all ticket and concession sales from its Thursday performance to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund.

For the next 24 hours or so, the nonprofit Individual Artists of Oklahoma is directing all the donations it receives to T-shirts and art supplies for a special project for Briarwood and Plaza Tower Elementary students, whose schools were destroyed in Monday’s devastating tornado.

Blue Door planning tornado benefit shows Friday and Saturday

Two concerts already scheduled for this weekend at Oklahoma City’s Blue Door listening room have been transformed into tornado benefit shows, just hours after deadly and devastating tornadoes ripped through Moore and south Oklahoma City this afternoon.

John Fullbright’s Summer Breeze Concert postponed to June 9

NORMAN – Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter John Fullbright, who hails from Bearden, was scheduled to kick off the annual Summer Breeze Concert Series Sunday night with a full-band show, but the outdoor event was canceled due to tornadoes and severe storms in central Oklahoma.

UPDATED at 2:05 p.m. Monday: Word from organizers is that tonight’s show has been canceled because more severe storms and possible tornadoes are forecast for tonight. The concert is expected to be rescheduled in late August. Look for updates on the new date on the Kamps or Tiger High Facebook pages.
