Checotah native Carrie Underwood visited New York City earlier this week making the media rounds, including an appearance on VH1′s “Big Morning Buzz” talk show.

During the appearance, she announced that she will star in two new VH1 specials this fall. Her episode of “VH1 Unplugged” will premiere on Oct. 2 on the cable network, while her installment of “Behind the Music” will debut sometime in autumn.
