OKC Events: Oct. 11 – 17
Oklahoma City is a happenin’ place. But don’t just take my word for it…check out all of the events taking place this week.
First up, don’t miss events at State Fair Park including the Grand National and World Championship Morgan Horse Show, the Annual Fall RV Show & Closeout Sale this Thursday through Sunday and The Kids Closet Connection Consignment Sale Friday through Sunday in the Hobbies, Arts & Crafts Building. Also, there’s a Gun, Knife & Outdoor Equipment Show this Saturday and Sunday at the Oklahoma Expo Hall.
Check out 3OH!3 along with Hello Goodbye at the Diamond Ballroom this Friday. Tickets are available for just $19. Other performances to add to your calendar include Chris Isaak at Riverwind Casino, No Justice with Mike Ryan at the Wormy Dog Saloon on Friday and Jeff Hobbs and The Jacks at the Wormy Dog on Saturday.
How do you feel about Canadian rockers Nickelback? Whether you love them or hate them, they are a band that keeps producing hits and will be at the Ford Center this Saturday night. Tickets can be purchased online starting at $59. 
There are a lot of sporting events this week! Catch a sneak peek of the 2010-2011 Oklahoma City Thunder when they take on CSKA Moscow, who were the 2006 and 2008 Euroleague champions, this Thursday night at the Ford Center. Also, Oklahoma City’s new hockey team, the Barons, are home this Friday and Saturday at the Cox Convention Center. The Oklahoma Sooners are home this Saturday to host Iowa State. I can’t wait for this event! Comedian and television star Bill Cosby will be at the Civic Center Music Hall this Sunday. There are two shows, one at 2 p.m. and one at 5 p.m., and tickets are just $25 and can be purchased online. Also at the Civic Center this week is the talented, beautiful and oh-so-funny Kristin Chenoweth (who’s also a native Oklahoman). She’ll be performing with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic on Friday and Saturday.
Beer lovers unite! Don’t miss the Zoo Brew II at the Oklahoma City Zoo this Friday where you can taste over 30 beers provided by local breweries and distributors. Tickets are on sale now and start at $35.
Don’t miss The Rocky Horror Show at Lyric on the Plaza daily from Wednesday, October 13 until Sunday, October 31. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online. Make sure to use your OKCity Card to get a great discount on Saturday and Sunday matinees.
Also, don’t miss haunted houses around the city, including the Bricktown Haunted Warehouse and Ultimate Terrors located on Northwest Expressway.
