It’s hard to believe that July is nearly over. But don’t fret – plenty of  summertime events happening this week in the Tulsa area!

The Tulsa Drillers are home now through Thursday when they host the Arkansas Naturals. Don’t miss any of the fun, including $2 Tuesday, Remember Whensday and Thirsty Thursday.

If you’re looking to improve the interior or exterior of your home, don’t miss the Home and Garden Expo of Oklahoma this Friday through Sunday at  Expo Square’s QuikTrip Center. Also at Expo Square this weekend is the R.K. Gun and Knife Show.

Don’t miss up-and-coming country singer Easton Corbin at Cain’s Ballroom on Thursday. Tickets are just $16. And this Friday and Saturday is the first ever Free Tulsa Music Festival. The festival will be held at Cain’s Ballroom, Crystal Pistol and Sound Pony.

Other sporting events to check out include Tulsa Shock basketball on Friday at the BOK Center and the Tulsa Talons travel down the turnpike to Oklahoma City to face the Yard Dawgz on Friday night.

Sports, Live Music this Week Around OKC

Although I’m a self-proclaimed summer girl, I have to admit I’m slightly looking forward to fall and the cooler temperatures. But, as long as summer is here, you might as well get out and enjoy it!

First up, the Oklahoma City RedHawks are home this Tuesday through Friday at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Tickets for the games start at only $7 so take the whole family out to the ballpark! Also, don’t miss the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz when they host their biggest rival, the Tulsa Talons, this Friday night at the Cox Convention Center. This is the last home game of the regular season so don’t miss your chance to cheer on the home team.

Check out Way Back Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Zoo. On this day, admission is only $1. That’s right – $1! Also don’t miss the Bricktown Reggaefest is this Friday and Saturday and this event is free and open to the public and will have a lot of great live music.

If you know the words that follow “Do a little dance…make a little love…” then you won’t want to miss KC & The Sunshine Band this Friday night at Firelake Grand Casino. Also, check out the Bandwagon Blues Festival at The Hidden Castle in Norman on Saturday and Sunday.

Also, make sure to go see Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park and their production, “The Comedy of Errors” and don’t miss Big Tony is Dead at the Yellow Rose Theater. To get your fair share of laughs, be sure to go see OKC Improv at the Ghostlight Theatre Club.

Have a great week!
