Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you are aware that college football starts this weekend in Oklahoma….and it’s about time! I’ll be heading to Dallas for the OU-BYU game with 20 of my closest friends and family and will, of course, be donning the crimson and cream.
If you’re looking for non-football-related activities, you have plenty of options in Oklahoma this week.
As you know, Labor Day signals the end of summertime’s care-free days, but that doesn’t mean Oklahomans can’t have fun-and lots of it. Across the state, we’ve got rodeos, parades, festivals and more. Go to wimgo and search “Labor Day” or use the one-click option on our homepage to find an event near you.
This Saturday through Monday is Arts Festival Oklahoma at Oklahoma City Community College. The Festival is free and features over 150 artists from across the nation. Children’s activities, food vendors, and an entertainment stage make this an event the entire family can enjoy.
This week is your final chance to gather under the stars for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park. Their season’s closing production is Shakespeare’s beloved comedy Twelfth Night. Through Saturday, enjoy the show for only $10 on the Water Stage in Oklahoma City’s beautiful Myriad Botanical Gardens.
Have a great weekend, enjoy what’s left of your summer, and go, team, go.
