Summer > Winter

It’s no secret that summer is my favorite season. I love the feel of the warm (okay, let’s be honest, the hot) summer sun on my skin, going to the lake, and sno cones. I love the flowers, the festivals, the cool summer nights.
If you’re like me then you want to be out enjoying summer and all of the events Oklahoma has to offer. Here are a few events I recommend this week:
The 14th Annual Bricktown Reggae Festival. As the name suggests, the festival is in Bricktown so it’s close to lots of great restaurants and other Bricktown attractions. Check it out and enjoy some live music!
Go see Aerosmith and ZZ Top at the BOK Center on Thursday night. Tickets start at just $49.50; a small price to pay to see the best-selling American hard rock band of all time.
Also worth mentioning is the “25 Days: Photographs of Oklahoma” exhibit at the State Capitol North Gallery. Here you’ll see some of Ken Crowder’s photos, which are a result from his commitment to take at least one artistic photograph every day for one year.
What are you doing this week? Is there something that is a ‘must-see’? Let me know – I just might have to check it out!
Have fun!

Went to the Lakeside Pearl’s Restaurant last night and the food is always incredible. We had the shrimp and scallop skewers, catfish, salad and drinks. The service is awesome too! Highly recommend it.
