On Saturday, October 15, 2011, several Wimgo employees joined together to Race for the Cure.

The annual event is the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. More than 1 million people have or will participate in a Race for the Cure this year alone.

Wimgo employee Alisha Harland said of the race, “I really enjoyed participating in the Race for the Cure. It was great to see our Oklahoma City community pull together and support the cause.”

This event is an opportunity for thousands of women, men and their families to spread the breast cancer message within their communities.

It’s time, my friends, to tell you about a really awesome contest. It’s called The Bricktown Challenge Scavenger Hunt (presented by The Bricktown Water Taxi) and it’s just what you might think it to be: a challenging scavenger hunt.

I’m loving the File Cabinet, which houses all of the things you favorite, like, save and hide (from the ribbon mentioned above).

Okay, click on the “around me” button (at the bottom) and you’ll find everything happening near your current location. You can narrow and sort these results to find anything nearby, including a restaurant, event, or retail store.

As you can see, the Wimgo app has a lot of features. The best way to figure it out is to use it! So, go download it, leave a review for the app and let me know what you think.

I’ve never considered myself a NASCAR fan. In all honesty, the only thing I thought NASCAR was good for was helping me fall asleep on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

This all changed, however, one fateful Sunday last April when I volunteered as an ambassador on the wimgo bus express to Texas Motor Speedway for the Samsung 500. Yes, the day was long but I no longer have enmity towards NASCAR. Much to my surprise, I actually like it.

I may not be able to tell you what drafting is or the penalty for driving too fast through pit row or who the point leader is, but I can tell you that both races I’ve been to have been enjoyable and I highly recommend attending a race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Perhaps you’ve always wanted to go but you don’t want to deal with the traffic or parking. Well, that’s where we come in!
