Ooh Gaga!

I used to really dislike Lady Gaga. I think it was because I didn’t understand her objection to wearing pants. Okay, so I still don’t know why she doesn’t wear pants, but I have to admit that she’s growing on me.

Her songs are catchy and strangely addicting and, much to my husband’s dismay, I can’t help but sing along when I hear “Bad Romance”.

So as painful as it is to admit, I was surprisingly excited when I heard she would be coming to the Ford Center on July 20th for a stop on her Monster Ball Tour.

Do you plan on going?

One word – CREATIVE. GaGa is a Sic Genius. If anyone can truly say they appreciate art in all of it’s complex forms and somehow NOT appreciate the creative genius of the GaGA is absurd. She’s like the Tarantino of music. Who knows what she’s really like as a person, where her mind hails from… but as a PERFORMER & ENTERTAINER – she is at the top of the game right now – I can’t even think of anyone else on the charts right now that’s remotely “unique” in song and style (except for Ke$ha, but she’s going down the trashy path without brakes). Just look at the Telephone video – she even has Beyonce stepping outside the box! I wouldn’t be surprised if her show does for this year’s concerts what U2 did for last year’s – stun! It will no doubt be show that stands out from the rest and leaves a memorable, lasting impression. I still can’t believe she’s coming to OKLAHOMA CITY – Whaa!!?? We would do well to recognize the gift in that- and I for one cannot wait to go! My sis and I are just waiting as patiently as possible for the tickets to go on sale :) Hope to see you all there!

    Pants are overrated.
