Unlikely NASCAR Fan

I’ve never considered myself a NASCAR fan. In all honesty, the only thing I thought NASCAR was good for was helping me fall asleep on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

This all changed, however, one fateful Sunday last April when I volunteered as an ambassador on the wimgo bus express to Texas Motor Speedway for the Samsung 500. Yes, the day was long but I no longer have enmity towards NASCAR. Much to my surprise, I actually like it.

I may not be able to tell you what drafting is or the penalty for driving too fast through pit row or who the point leader is, but I can tell you that both races I’ve been to have been enjoyable and I highly recommend attending a race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Perhaps you’ve always wanted to go but you don’t want to deal with the traffic or parking. Well, that’s where we come in! Join us on the wimgo bus express on April 18, 2010, for the Samsung Mobile 500. For just $159 we’ll take care of the driving, parking and lunch while you sit back and enjoy the ride. You even get to take a walk through the pit area!

If you’re interested in joining us, check out http://wimgo.com/nascar for details and to order tickets.

By the way, who’s your favorite driver? Mine is #99 – Carl Edwards.

Wendy, my two brothers-in-law and I are booking our seats this weekend. It sounds like a great deal for everything that’s included!

Carl Edwards? Did you see what he did last week in the race? Not cool… LOL

    Wendy,
I had been wanting to go to the TMS for the past ten years. But didn’t want to mess with the parking & after race traffic. Saw the ad in the paper bout the bus ride last year. Booked it. Had a blast. My brother went with me not sure if he would like it. He did. We are going again this year.

Wendy, I’m happy that you’ve come over to the Nascar side!
I’ve driven a cup car at Texas Motor Speedway and it was the most thrilling experience of my life (in a car).

How’d you get to be a volunteer on the bus? Maybe that’s something I’d like to do in the future.

    Paul –

Bus volunteers are employees of OPUBCO Communications Group. Thanks for your interest!

Yes, I have become a NASCAR fan. Race day is such fun! And I’d love to drive a car someday…
